After an assessment

Results, referrals & requisitions.

Once your care at Medora begins, use these steps alongside any instructions your clinician gives you. Our telephone line, 604-558-8201, will begin receiving calls on November 2, 2026.

How should I follow up on test results?

Ask your clinician when results are expected and how they will be reviewed with you. If you have not heard by the agreed time, contact the clinic using the published patient contact instructions. Please do not assume that no news means a normal result.

If you would like to discuss a result, arrange a clinical appointment. Seek timely medical assessment if symptoms are worsening rather than waiting for a routine result discussion.

How do I check the progress of a referral?

After a referral is sent, the receiving service reviews it and arranges the appointment. Waiting times depend on the service and clinical urgency. Follow the instructions given by your clinician and the receiving office.

If you have not received the expected booking information, contact the clinic to check the referral’s status. If your condition changes or worsens, arrange a reassessment so the clinician can review whether the referral needs an update.

What if a pharmacy or testing facility has not received my prescription or requisition?

Confirm with the receiving office or pharmacy that they have checked for it. If it is still missing, contact the clinic using the published patient contact instructions. Have the destination’s name, phone or fax number and the date of your assessment ready so the team can check where it was sent.

Please do not send medical records or prescription details to our administrative email. If you are at risk of running out of medication, speak with your pharmacist and contact the clinic promptly for advice on next steps.

Are tests and referred appointments performed at Medora?

Medora provides primary care assessments and can arrange appropriate test requests and referrals. The testing provider or receiving health professional will give you their appointment location and instructions. Check those details before travelling.
